Brittas Bay

Brittas Bay is the perfect place to relax and unwind. With its wide open spaces and stunning views, it’s easy to see why this is one of the most popular beaches in Ireland. Whether you’re looking to take a stroll along the shore, build sandcastles with the Kids or just soak up the sun, its 100 hectares of dunes make it to perfect place to do so. The dunes are also home to many interesting wildlife species and plants, including a number of rare species.

Brittas Bay North & Brittas Bay South have been awarded a world-renowned ‘European Union(EU) Blue Flag’ indicating they meet EU bathing standards. It is also lifeguard-patrolled during the bathing season, The beach is also part of a ‘Behind the Beach’ programme, run by Wicklow County Council, which hosts a series of interactive outdoor workshops.
